Hawaii-nasa-moon

It started a while ago.

As far back as the late 1960s NASA had astronauts training on the Big Island of Hawaii for preparation in moon landings.

The volcanic lands around Mauna Kea closely resemble that of the moon.  The ancient, glacial run off have produced a fine, powder of volcanic rock and ash that is often compared to that of the lunar dust on the moon.

In May of 2014, NASA released never-before-seen photos of Apollo 14, 15, and 17 astronauts training on the Big Island.

There are two great shots in particular that I love.

The first is of astronauts Alan Shepard, Stuart Roost and Edgar Mitchell training with some modular equipment.

The second is of astronauts training with a lunar roving vehicle, or the “Moon Buggy.”

NASA and Hawaii Today

Today, NASA still uses Hawaii’s volcanic terrain to test and train with robots and unmanned vehicles as they attempt to navigate crags, rock and dust on the Big Island.

There is even some talk of using lava tubes and larger holes to train future models of robots and vehicles.  Evidently, these land formations and geographic traits are similar to those that have been seen on Mars and Venus.  Are we talking about another future planetary landing for NASA?

The Great Conspiracy

There has been talk over the years the USA did a big fake job on the moon landing in a desperate effort to beat the old Soviet Union at the Space Race.  At the point when Neil Armstrong made “one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind”, the Russians were actually beating the Americans in the quest to put a man on the moon.

Flying Saucers and Hawaii

If residents of Hawaii have thought they had seen a UFO recently, then they’re probably right.  In June of 2014, NASA launched the Low-Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD) from the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.    The LDSD is being tested as a way for NASA to gauge current technology on slowing the descent of heavy spacecraft through the Mars atmosphere.

Pretty sweet, but are we looking at the filming at a future conspiracy.  I mean, there are worst place in the world to shoot a conspiracy video than Hawaii.
